AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend by inserting in 2nd line of title, after the word
"Laws," the words "sub-title 'Practice;' " also, amend by
striking out all of section 23, aiter the word "entered," in
11th line.

The proposed amendments were severally read and adopted/
and the bill as amended read a second time.

Also, without amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 5, of Ar-
ticle 93, of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
Testamentary Laws, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Brown, from the Committee on Inspections, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Article
4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled "City of Balti-
more," providing for the appointment of one General In-
spector and four Assistant Inspectors of Flour, and defining
their duties ; said new sections to be added to said Article,
under the sub-title "Flour."

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Stake, Chairman of the Committee on Inspections, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to regulate the inspection and meas-
urement, and to license the Inspectors of Lumber in the City
of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. McWilliams, from the Committee on Inspections, re-
ported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 15, chapter 153, of
the Act of 1872, entitled an Act to provide for the inspection
of steam boilers in the City of Baltimore.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported without amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of mo-
ney to pay the Electors of President and Vice-Preeident of
the United States, in and for the State of Maryland, their offi-
cers and attendants.

Which was read a second time.
