The bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act entitled
an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to issue bonds of the City of Baltimore, to an amount not ex-
ceeding two million five hundred thousand dollars, for the
purpose of providing means for the improvement of Jones'
Falls,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of Kelly, Piet & Company, and John
Murphy & Company.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1, Article 35,
Code of Public General Laws, entitled " Elections," and
re-enact the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading,

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay the claims of W. L. Pfieffer, James E. Tate, John
Himelhaver, George W. Murdoch, J. E. Hayden and Ben-
jamin F. Cronin,

Was read a second time and. ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act entitled a sup-
plement to an Act approved April 6th, 1870, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry
Company of Maryland, and to grant, on certain conditions,
the right to use the wharf known as the County Wharf,
approved March 28th, 1868,

Being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. C. R. Hamilton,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and said
bill recommitted to the Baltimore City delegation.

The bill entitled an Act to add new sections to Article 19,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to Somerset
county,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Sudler,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill recommitted to the Somerset delegation.

On motion of Mr. Freaner, (tho rules bejng suspended,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of Senate bills
