Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Article
56, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Licenses,"
under the sub-title "Sample Traders."

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary
reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act, entitled an addi-
tional supplement to an Act, entitled an Act to incorporate:
the Trustees of the Franklin Academy or School, in Balti-
more county, passed at the December session of the Legisla-
ture of 1825, chapter 112.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. McAleese, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported!
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 287, of the Act
passed January session, 1870, entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 810, of Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
chapter 367, passed at January session, 1867, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Buchanan, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported

A bill entitled an Act to extend the limits of Baltimore
City, by including and annexing a part or portion of Balti-
more county, in and to the said city, and to provide for taking
a vote of the people residing in said part or portion to be so
annexed, for or against such annexation.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county,
Ordered to be printed.

Mr. Miller, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Frederick county to build a new jail and a work-
house for Frederick county, to borrow money on the credit of
the county for that purpose, to issue bonds for the payment
of the same, to levy and collect taxes for the payment of
such bonds and the interest on the same.
