Mr. Merritt presented the petition of A. S. Crumford and
seventeen other citizens of Kent county, in favor of pound
nets.

Which was read and referred to the Kent and Queen
Anne's delegations.

Also,

The petition of Robert Nicholson and other citizens of
Kent county, praying for a change in the Road Law for said
county.

Which was read and referred to the Kent delegation and
Mr. Seth.

Mr. Nicodemus presented the petition of D. C. Winebren-
ner and one hundred and forty-five other citizens of Freder-
ick, praying the enactment of a law authorizing the Mayor
and Common Council of Frederick city to grant additional
aid to the Frederick and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road Com-
pany.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick delegation.

Mr. Kemp presented the petition of sundry citizens of Queen
Anne's county, relative to the taking of fish in pounds or
nets.

Which was read and referred to the Queen Anne's dele-
gation and Mr. Dawson.

Mr. Merritt presented the memorial of the Visitors and
Governors of Washington College.

Which was read and referred to the Committees on Ed-
ucation.

Mr. Dawson presented the petition of William H. Come-
gys and forty-nine other citizens of Caroline county, in favor
of a Stock Law for said county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ag-
riculture.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, presented the petition of
Wm. Foley, Wm. A. Hook and one hundred and forty-three
others of the third election district of Baltimore county, op-
posed to Local Option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Matthews presented the petition of Alexis M. Chap-
man and others of the first, second and third districts of Bal-
timore county, asking the passage of a law prohibiting stock
from running at large.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.
