Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported with amendments,
The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at
the January session, March 6th, 1862, chapter 233, entitled
an Act to amend section 202, of Article 30, of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to crimes and punishments,
and providing for the punishment of treason and other
kindred offences.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amend title of hill by inserting after the word "repeal,"
in the first line of title of bill, the words "sub-section 8,
sub-section 11, sub-section 12 and sub-section 13, of Article
30, of the Code of Public General Laws," title "Crimes and
Punishments," sub-title "Treason.," being "parts of."
Amend body of hill by inserting after the word "that,"
in the second line of the body of bill, the words "sub-section
8, sub-section 11, sub-section 12 and sub-section 13, of the
Code of Public General Laws," title "Crimes and Punish-
ments," sub-title "Treason," being "parts of."
The amendments were severally read and adopted, and bill
as amended read a second time.
Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,
The Senate bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
passed at January session, 1867, chapter 247, entitled an Act
to establish and incorporate an Asylum for the Deaf and
Dumb of the State of Maryland, and also an Act passed at
January session, 1868, chapter 409, entitled an Act to
amend and add additional sections to the Act of 1867, chap-
ter 247; also an Act passed at January session, 1870, chapter
422, entitled an Act supplementary to the Act passed at the
January session, 1867, chapter 247, entitled an Act to es-
tablish an Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the State of
Maryland, and its supplements.
