Mr. Groh presented the petition of the Trustees of St.
Joseph's General Hospital, asking for an appropriation to
St. Joseph's General Hospital, Baltimore.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Brace presented the petition of S. H. Wilson and
thirty-seven other citizens of Garrett county, for a Local
Option Law and Damage Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Valliant presented the petition of Thomas H. Leonard
and nineteen others, for the amendment of section 206, Arti-
cle 20, of the Public Local Laws for Talbot county.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Seth, Valliant and
Kemp.

Mr. Johnson presented the petition of Captain Jacob A.
Corsey and two hundred other citizens of Dorchester county,
for a modification and amendment of the Scoop Law for
Dorchester county.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester delega-
tion.

Mr. McColgan presented the petition of Ellen Debron,
widow of Malon, war of 1812, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Merry man presented the petition of C. W. Lord, W.
H. Alien and others, for a law to prevent stock running at
large in the 9th election district of Baltimore county, within
two miles of Baltimore City, bounded by the Falls Road on
the west, and York Road on the east.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county del-
egation.

Mr. Eiley presented the petition of David McNabb and
other citizens of Harford county, praying for a general law
offering a reward tor hawks killed in this State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Clark presented the petition of the claim of the edi-
tors of the "Montgomery County Sentinel," for the publica-
tion of names of defaulters to the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.
