A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bank of Cam-
bridge, in Cambridge, Dorchester county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal seetiorss 1 and 2, of an Act
of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at January
session, 1872, chapter 2, entitled an Act regulating fences
in Wicomico county, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a first time and referred to Meters. Leon-
ard, Bedsworth and Merritt.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to prevent stock from running at
large in Quantico, Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time and referred to Messrs Leon-
ard, Bedsworth and Merritt.

The Speaker laid before the House the following commu-
nication, from Hon. Levin Woolford, Comptroller of the
Treasury, together with accompanying Report, in response to
an order of the House:

COMPTROLLER'S OFFICE,
Annapolis, February 11, 1874.
Hon. JESSE K. HINES,

Speaker of the House of Delegates:

DEAR SIR :—In obedience to an order passed the House on
the 5th instant, to wit: "Ordered, That the Comptroller of
the Treasury be requested to furnish this House with the
list of names of persons in Baltimore City, and the several
counties, drawing State pensions," I have the honor here-
with to submit the following statement, showing the names
of the several parties to whom pensions are paid, and the
Acts of Assembly authorizing the payment of said pensions.

LEVIN WOOLFORD,

Comptroller of the Treasury.

Which were severally read, and referred to the Committee
on Pensions, and ordered to be printed.
