Mr. Mackey presented the petition of Hon. James McCau-
ley and fifty-five other citizens of Cecil county, praying for a
Local Option Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Merryman presented the memorial of the Maryland
State Agricultural and Mechanical Association, to the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, on the subjects of labor, immi-
gration, sheep-husbandry, vagrant stock and county roads.

Which was read and referred to the Committees on Ag-
riculture, Immigration, and Manufactures.

Mr. Grafton presented the petition of John K. Paxton and
thirty-eight other citizens of Harford county, for a Local Op-
tion and Damage Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Brace presented the petition of James Beatty and forty-
nine other citizens of Flintstone District, Allegany county,
for Local Option and Civil Damage Law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Nicodemus presented the petition of F. C. Renner and
twenty-three other citizens of Woodsboro' District, Frederick
county, asking for a Local Option and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of George W. Duddrean, Peter Luggenbeal,
and forty other citizens of Liberty District, Frederick coun-
ty, asking for a Local Option and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of Daniel Burner and twenty-three other
citizens of Mount Pleasant District, Frederick county, ask-
ing for a Local Option and Damage Law.

Also,

The petition of Sarah Stover and sixteen other ladies of
Woodsboro' District, Frederick county, asking for a Local
Option and Damage Law.

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on Temperance.

Mr. Duer presented the petition of Jacob Parks and one
hundred and twelve male citizens of Tangier District, for a
Local Option and Damage Law for Somerset county.
