No. 23. An Act to repeal section 199, Article 1, of Public
Local Laws, entitled "Allegany County," sub-title "Birds."

No. 24. An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments,
section 135, of Article 12, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title ''Harford County," sub-title "Sheriffs," aa amended and
re-enacted by chapter 340, of the Acts passed January ses-
sion, 1872.

Mr. Buchanan presented the petition of James H. Smith,
Geo. H. Cairnes, Wm. B. Gambrill and thirty-five other
citizens of Baltimore county, praying the exemption of wages
of minor children from attachment may not become a law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Manu-
factures.

Mr. Glotfelty presented the petition of eighty-seven citi-
zens of Garrctt county, praying for the privilege of voting on
the county seat question.

Which was read and referred to the Garrett delegation.

Mr. Merritt presented the petition of B. S. Emory and
others, against the passage of a law to prevent the taking of
fish in pounds or weir, in the waters of Kent and Queen
Anne's counties.

Which was read and referred to the Kent and Queen
Anne's delegations.

Mr. Turner, of Cecil, presented the petition of F. S. Ever-
est, Eobt. Phillips and ninety-one other citizens of Cecil
connty, praying the passage of a poll tax.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Ways
and Means.

Mr. Glotfelty presented the petition of ninety-seven citi-
zens of Garrett county, asking for a vote on the county seat
question, and protesting against Mr. West's bill designating
Oakland as the county seat.

Which was read and referred to the Garrett delegation.

Mr. Gill presented the petition of the boss and journeymen
barbers of the City of Baltimore.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Merritt presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Kent county, praying a tax on dogs.

Which was road and referred to Messrs. Merritt, Hines and
Thompson.
