Mr. Vanderford presented the petition of the Mayor and
Common Council and sundry citizens of Westminster, pray
ing for an amendment of the charter of Westminster.

Which was read and referred to the Carroll delegation.

Mr. Seth presented the petition of F. R. Pascault and
fifty-two other citizens of Talbot county, in relation to the
opening of Kent Narrows.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Also,

The petition of B. V. Richardson and others for a Local
Option Law.

Also,

The petition of A. H. Barevick and others, asking the pas-
sage of a restrictive liquor license law.

Also,

The petition of M. E. Emory and others, asking the pas-
sage of a Local Option Law.

Which were severally read and referred to the Select Com-
mittee on Temperance.

Also,

The petition of J. A. Johnson, editor of the "Eastern
Journal," asking compensation for publishing list of de-
faulters as per order of Comptroller.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Vanderford presented the petition of one hundred and
thirty-five citizens of Westminster, Carroll county, pray-
ing a law granting Local Option.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Maclin presented the petition of Mary A. Grindall, of
Howard county, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Clark presented the petition of Otho W. Beall, soldier
of the war of 1812, praying the General Assembly to grant
him a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.
