The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 29, of chapter 36, of the Acts of
1872, entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of
Public General Laws regulating the Inspection of Tobacco,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engroseed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments the Acts incorporating the Wicomico and
Pocomoke Rail Road Company,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 1, of
Article XLV. of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
Husband and Wife and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrosed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
section 6, of Article VII. of the Code of Public General Laws
entitled Arbitration and Award,"

Being on second reading,

On motion by Mr. Davis,
Was laid over.

On motion by Mr. Davis,

The motion by which said bill was ordered to lie over,
Was reconsidered,
When Mr. Davis submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After section 6, add the following section "Section 6, a and
»be it enacted that any person swearing falsely before any
arbitrators referee or auditor, shall be guilty of perjury."

Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended was read the second time and ordered
to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to aid in the erection of a Monument in commemora-
tion of the Confederate dead at Point Lookout,"
