A bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to Article
12 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford county, in re-
gard to horses and carriages kept at livery in Harford
county.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Harford
delegation.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act authorizing the Baltimore, Chesa-
peake and Delaware Bay Kail Road Company to charge tolls
on freights and passengers ; to reduce the par value of the cap-
ital stock; to establish its principal office in Baltimore City;
to lease, buy and build wharves, houses and shops; to charter,
purchase and hold steamships, steamboats and barges; to
provide for the condemnation of land and the construction of
bridges and crossings; prescribing penalties for injuries done
to said railroad or its property; authorizing the said Compa-
ny to unite, connect and consolidate with the Baltimore,
Chesapeake and Delaware Bay Rail Road of the State of Del-
aware and other railroads in or out of this State; to lease out
their own, or to lease and operate other railroads; to issue
mortgage bonds, and to provide for the payment of the same;
to reduce the number of directors, provide for the election of
president and other officers of the Company, and to repeal all
Acts inconsistent with this Act.

mittee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
Also,
A bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments section 29, of chapter 36, of the Acts of 1872, entitled
an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public General
Laws, regulating the inspection of tobacco.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Inspections.
