of the City of Baltimore, as in their memorial they only
claim a little over eleven square miles of city, when, accord-
ing to plat of said city, there are sixteen square miles, four
of which said city does not claim in said memorial.

On motion of Mr. Hodson,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to report
a bill to authorize and empower the Archbishop of Balti-
more to convey to the School Commissioners of Dorchester
county, and to their successsors, a certain parcel of land in
said county, together with the buildings thereon; as also to
authorize the said School Commissioners to receive a deed
therefor,

Mr. Groome, Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary,
to whom was referred the Senate bill entitled an Act to au-
thorize Henry C. Lay, Bishop of the Diocese of Easton, as
such in the Prostestant Episcopal Church, in the United
States of America, his successors in office, and his and their
assigns, to hold a lot or parcel of land conveyed to him by
Wm. Goldsborough and others, by deed dated the 31st day
of October, 1873, for the use and purpose declared in the
said deed,

Reported the same without amendment.
Said bill was then read a second time.
Also, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to empower the Board of Trustees
of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Cumberland, to sell
and convey a certain lot of ground in said city.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Groome, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, re-
ported unfavorably,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at
January session, 1870, chapter 441, so far as the same ap-
plies to Frederick county.

And the report was adopted.

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, Chairman of the Commit-
tee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries, to whom was
referred the Senate bill entitled an Act for the protection and
preservation of fish, and to encourage the breeding and cul-
ture of fish in the waters of the State of Maryland, reported
back the same.

And on motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City,

Said bill was referred to the Select Committee on Fish Cul-
ture,
