Reported said bill with the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strikeout all after the word "corporation," in line 9, sec-
tion 1, printed bill, and insert the following :

"And that all acts of said Board of Directors are hereby
legalized and declared valid."

Which was adopted.

Also, the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strikeout all after the word "subscribed/' in the 12th
line of section 2, printed bill.

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time and order-
ed to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which had been referred

The House bill entitled "An Act to give the sanction of
the General Assembly of Maryland to the devise and bequest
of Henry Butler, to the Trustees of the African Methodist
Episcopal Ebenezer Church, of the city of Baltimore.''

Reported said bill with the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After the word "city," in the last line of the bill, insert
the following:

"Provided, however, that out of said bequest there be paid
to the estate of Henry Butler, the amount due on a note
dated October 6th, 1865, given in behalf of the Trustees of
said church, signed by W. D. W. Schureman and others, to
secure the loan of five hundred dollars with interest, made
by said Butler in his lifetime to said Church."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time.

Mr. Spencer, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

The House bill entitled ''An Act to repeal an Apt, to re-
peal section 4 of Article XLI. of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'Fish and Fisheries,' sub-title 'Head of the Bay,'
and to re-enact section 4 of Article XLI. of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws."
