Temperance.

Mr. Miller also presented a similar .petition of one hundred
and seventy-nine other ladies of the same district, for the same
object.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Nicodemus presented the petition of Rev. Thos. J.
Cross, J. H. Johnson, Frederick White and one hundred and
thirteen other citizens of Mechanicstown District, Frederick
county, praying the passage of a law submitting to the voters
of the several counties and wards of the City of Baltimore,
whether or not intoxicating liquors shall be sold in said
counties or wards.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Nicodemus also presented the petition of Emma C.
Crow, Hester A. Wolf and one hundred and forty-four other
ladies of Mechanicstown District, Frederick county, for a
similar law.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Merryman presented the petition of Thos. H. Bitt, to
have his name reinstated upon the pension rolls of the State,
and for arrearages due on account of his name having been
inadvertently left out of Laws of 1870.

sions.

Mr. Keech presented the petition of J. D. Durkes and
eighty other citizens of Baltimore county, protesting against
the passage of a law to prevent stock from running at large
in Baltimore county.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore county
delegation.

Mr, Maclin presented the petition of Susanna Dorsey, of
Howard county, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Bedsworth presented the petition of Wm. F, Roberts
and others, in relation to taking oysters in Wicomico county,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
