Which was read.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, submitted the following
amendment:

Provided, that the public be excluded from the floor.
Which was rejected.

Mr. Bond submitted the following amendment:
Strike out the words, "and the public generally."
Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
order as amended,

It was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to authorize the sale of freight and baggage
by Eailroad Companies and common carriers, in certain
cases.

On motion of Mr. Johnson,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to amend and re-enact chap. 81, Acts of 1872,
relating to the taking of oysters with scoops, in Dorchester
county.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce an Act to repeal section 16, of chapter 476, passed
at the January session, 1870, entitled an Act to provide
for the creation and regulation of incorporated companies in
the State of Maryland, and to re-enact the same so as to read
as follows.

On motion of Mr. Glotfelty,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Glotfelty, West and Brace
to introduce a bill to repeal section 1, chapter 78, of Public
Local and General Laws of 1868, and re-enact the same with
amendments.

Mr. Thompson, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 169, of the Act of
1872, entitled an Act for the better protection of partridges
