A bill entitled an Act to grant donations to Garrett
county for the use of academies and schools.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Education.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 75 of
the Code of Public General Laws, allowing the striking out
of an order for removal after the same has been passed.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Judiciary.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to amend the Act of the General
Assembly of 1872, chapter 196, entitled an Act to authorize
the Comptroller of the Treasury to adjust and settle the ac-
counts due by Collectors, Sheriffs, Clerks, Registers and other
receivers of public moneys in cases where the indebtedness ac-
crued prior to and including the year 1869, by repealing sec-
tion 1 of said Act, and re-enacting the same with amend-
ments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

A bill entitled an Act to add a new section to Article 30 of
the Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland,
to succeed section 144, so as to prevent the public execution
of the death penalty.
