Ordered, That Mr. Seth, of Talbot county, be excused from
attendance until Friday next, on account of urgent business.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Henkle submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Charles V. Hammond, an officer of the
last House of Delegates, be allowed the usual mileage for his
attendance upon the organization of this House.

Which was adopted.

Mr, Miller submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Nicodemus be granted leave of absence
until Tuesday next, to attend to important business.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Matthews submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that had Mr.
Matthews, of Baltimore county, been present when the vote
was had upon the bill restricting the hours of labor for

minors, he would have voted in the affirmative.

Mr. Seth submitted the following order:

Ordered, That 500 copies of the Address of Mr. Valliant of
Talbot, on Temperance, be printed for the use of the members
of this House.

Mr. Stewart, of Howard, submitted the following order:

Ordered, That 500 copies of the testimony in the case of
the contested election of Widdicombe vs. Brooke, be printed
for the use of this House.
