Which were severally read and referred to the Harford
delegation.

Mr. Lee presented the petition of Win. Munnikhuysen and
thirteen other citizens of Harford county, asking the passage
of a law taxing dogs in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Kemp presented the petition of sundry citizens of
Queen Anne's county, asking the passage of a Local Option
Law for said county.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Gill presented the memorial of Jno. W. M. William-
son and others, praying the passage of a law renewing and
extending the charter of the Maryland Tract Society.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Grimes presented the petition of one hundred and
eleven citizens of Washington county, praying the passage
of a law for the protection of sheep in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Etchison presented the petition of C. C. Magruder and
twenty-six other citizens of Prince George's county, against
the removal of gates on the public roads.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Mr. Henkle submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Librarian be requested to furnish each
member of this House with a port-folio similar to those usu-
ally furnished to members.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Wack submitted the following order:

Ordered, That Mr. Wier be excused from attendance to-
day on account of urgent business at home.

Which was adopted.
