bill to pay Wm. W. Busteed a sum of money due him from
the State.

On motion of Mr. Vanderford,

Leave was granted to the Carroll delegation to report a bill
to authorize the County Commissioners of Carroll county to
levy for such sum of money as may be requisite to furnish
the office of the Register of Wills of said county with the ne-
cessary record-book, stationery and fuel.

On motion of Mr. Nutwell,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Nutwell, Stewart, of How-
ard, and Fletchall, to introduce a bill to repeal section 59,
Article 30, of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact
the same with amendments.

On" motion of Mr. Keech,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 41, 42 and
43 of the Public General Laws, title "Testamentary Law,"
sub-title "Administration by an Executor," and to re-enact
the same, or such sections as may be necessary, with amend-
ments.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled an Act to refund to Morgan H. Clark, of
Washington county, the sum of fifty dollars, paid by him
into the Treasury on or about the 24th day of January 1872.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Claims.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to provide for cases of vacancy in
the office of Governor, according to the 7th section of the
second Article of the Constitution.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

A bill entitled a Act to add an additional section to Arti-
cle 22, of the Code of Public General Laws of this State, en-
titled "Comptroller."

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of chapter 410,
