Mr. McColgan presented the petition and Annual Report of
the House of the Good Shepherd, of Baltimore, for 1873.

and Means.

Mr. Greenfield presented the petition of John Downey, for
payment of claim for armory rented by Company C, 1st Bat-
talion Cavalry, Maryland National Guards.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Valliant presented the petition of C. H. Bowdle, of
Talbot county, asking the psssage of a dog law and poll tax.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Maclin presented the petition of Leanna Jones for a
pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Hart presented the petition of Adeline F. Hayes,
Clara Smith and James Robinson, Ann Wilkinson, Eliza-
beth Orem and Eliza Baldwin, severally asking for a pen-
sion.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Lee presented the petition of H. D. Farnandis and
fifty-three other citizens of Harford county, asking the pas-
sage of an Enabling Act authorizing the County Commis-
sioners of Harford county to subscribe to the capital stock of
a railroad passing through said county.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Sudler presented the petition of R. S. Miles and nine-
teen others, asking for the passage of a law submitting to
the voters of Fairmount District, Somerset county, whether
or not intoxicating liquors shall be sold in said county.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Lee presented the petition of Wm. Jeffery and sixty-
eight other residents, citizens of Belair, Harford county, ask-
ing the passage of an Act incorporating said town.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.
