Which was read and referred to Messrs. Wier, West, Ber-
ry, Koons and Fletchall.

Mr. Greenfield presented the petition of T. J. Magruder,
President of Wesley Grove Camp Meeting Association, for an
Act prohibiting the sale of spirituous liquors within one mile
of said camp ground.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Sudler presented the petition of J. H. Miller, and fifty-
eight others, praying the passage of a law submitting to the
voters of Fairmount District, Somerset county, whether in-
toxicating liquors shall be sold in said district.

Which was read and referred to the Select Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Stake presented the petition of sixty-one citizens of
Washington county, praying the passage or a law to levy a
tax on dogs, the proceeds to be applied to the remuneration
of sheep owners, for sheep destroyed by dogs ; the surplus, if
any, to be applied to the School Fund.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Lancaster presented the petition of J. T. Colton and
others, asking for a tax on dogs in Charles county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Seth submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a Committee of three be appointed to in-
quire into the expediency of re-publishing the older copies of
the Reports of this State, and also to ascertain at what cost
the same can be done.

Which was read.

Mr. McCosker submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the words " a Committee of three be appointed
to," and insert the words " the Committee on the Judiciary."

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the order as amended,
