On motion of Mr. Brace,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill for the relief of Rebecca Crefap, by refunding-
State and county taxes erroneously paid.

On motion of Mr. Freaner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to amend the Acts of 1846, chapter 333, and
the supplements, incorporating the Hagerstown and Waynes-
boro' Turnpike Company.

On motion of Mr. Freaner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to repeal the Act of 1822, chapter 42, incorpo-
rating the First Hagerstown Hose Company, and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Miller,

Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a bill to repeal chapter 67 of the Act of 1872, and
re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Etchison,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to in
troduce a bill for the passage of an Act in regard to fences in
Prince George's county.

On motion of Mr. Groome,

Leave was granted the Cecil delegation to report a bill to
authorize the County School Commissioners of Cecil county
to satisfy a judgment against the Trustees of the Elkton
Academy, in Cecil.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, submitted, the following
message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 21st, 1874.

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to go into an election for three Police Commissioners for the
City of Baltimore, on Thursday, January 29th, inst.

Which was read.

The question recurring upon assenting to the message,

Mr. McColgan moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and said message be referable to the Select Com-
mittee on Police.
