Public Local Laws of Anne Arundel County Commissioners,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Seth,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill to suppress intemperance, and to permit the
voters of each ward of the City of Baltimore, and of each
county in the State of Maryland, to vote every three years on
the question of granting licenses to sell intoxicating liquors.

On motion of Mr. Vanderford,

Leave was granted to the Carroll county delegation to re-
port a bill to authorize and empower the County Commission-
ers of Carroll county, in their discretion, to levy annually a
sum of money not exceeding three hundred dollars, to defray
the expenses of Georgiana Young, a lunatic, during the time
of her lunacy.

On motion of Mr. Groh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Immigration to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to appoint a Commissioner of
Immigration to protect the interest of labor and agriculture
in the State of Maryland; also to receive and provide for all
immigrants arriving at the port of Baltimore, in the State of
Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Sudler,

Leave was granted to the Select Committee on Temperance
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to suppress intemperance in
Fairmount, sixth election district of Somerset county, and to
allow the voters thereof every three years to decide whether
licenses shall be granted to sell intoxicating liquors therein.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to pay Welsh, Basher & Co.,
publishers of the Baltimore Gazette, a sum of money due them
for publishing the list of defaulters, October 6th, 1873.

On motion of Mr. Coulbourn,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to grant a pension to Isaac L, Horsey, of Somer-
set county, 85 years of age, who was a soldier in the war of
1812.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act for the relief of the Central
