Mr. Merryman presented the petition of William Petticord,
of Baltimore county, for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Glotfelty presented the petition of the County Com-
missioners of Garrett county, praying for the repeal of Reg-
istration Law in Garrett county.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Johnson presented the petition of Samuel M. Travers,
John H. Maguire and one hundred and fifteen other citizens
of Dorchester county, protesting against the passage of any
law by which scraping or scooping for oysters shall be al-
lowed within the waters of Little Choptank River, in said
county.

Which was read and referred to the Dorchester dele-
gation.

Mr. McCosker presented a petition to amend the Act
incorporating the Broadway and Locust Point Steam Ferry
Company of Baltimore City.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Mr. Wack submitted the following order :

Ordered, That Mr. Wier be excused from attendance to-
day on account of urgent business.

Which was adopted.

Mr, Clark submitted the following order:

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal that Mr.
West is detained at home by sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Groome submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Mer
ritt, of Kent county, is detained from his seat by sickness.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Fenton submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. C.
A. Hamilton be excused from attendance to-day on account
of sickness in his family.
