Mr. Gill presented the petition of E. P. Mercer and others,
in reference to the extension of the limits of Baltimore City.

Which was read.

Mr. Gill moved that the said petition be referred to a Select
Committee of seven, two from Baltimore county, two from
Baltimore City, and three from the State at large.

Mr, Turner, of Baltimore county, moved that the petition
be referred to a Select Committee, consisting of the Baltimore
county delegation and one from each of the Legislative dis-
tricts of Baltimore City.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Baltimore City, the further
consideration thereof was postponed until Wednesday next.

Mr. Hart presented the petition of John Jamieson, for a pen-
sion ; 80 years of.age.

Also,

The petition of Lucy A, Hank, widow of Richard, for a
pension; 74 years of age.

Also,

The petition of Mary A. Hines, widow of James B., for a
pension; 68 years of age.

Which were severally read and referred to the Conmittee
on Pensions.

Mr. McCosker presented the petition of Susanna Thomas,
widow of William B.; for a pension; 70 years of age.

Also,

The petition of Susanna Smith, widow of James P., for a
pension; 83 years of age.

Also,

The petition of Agnes Inglefritz, widow of David, for a
pension; 74 years of age.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Pensions.

Mr. Clark presented the petition of John Lammons, Thos.
McElfish and J. F. Harrison, protesting against the sitting
members of Allegany county from holding their seats in this
House.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Elec-
tions.
