Mr Bond, of St. Mary's, to report a bill to abolish gates on
the public road in Charles county.

On motion of Mr. Seth,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to provide for the general valuation and as-
sessment of property in this State,

On motion of Mr. Lancaster,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill making railroad corporations and all other in-
corporated common carriers of passengers and freight liable
to be sued in the counties through which they pass, and
where the cause of action arises.

On motion of Mr. Robey,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's county delegation
to report a bill to remove gates from the public roads of
Prince George's county.

On motion, of Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to provide compensation to William Frank
Tucker and A. K. Syester, for legal services rendered under
and by virtue of the Act of 1872, chapter 207.

On motion of Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Henkle, Robinson, Cooper,
McCosker, Keech, Merritt and Turner, to introduce a bill to
set apart a portion of one of the State wharves, in Baltimore
City, and to improve the same for a suitable landing and
wholesale market for the fruits, vegetables and other agri-
cultural productions of the State brought to the city by
water.

On motion of Mr. Groome,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to repeal section 22, of Article 11, of the Code
of Public General Laws, and to enact a new section in lieu
thereof.

On motion of Mr. McCosker,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal section 3, of the Code of General
Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Direct
Taxes," and re-enact the same, with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Groome,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to repeal Article 98, of the Code of Public
