On motion of Mr. Greenfield, (the rules being suspended
by unanimous consent,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of the leave sub-
mitted by him on the 13th inst., whereby leave was granted
to the Committee on Corporations to introduce a bill entitled
an Act to establish the Maryland House of Correction.
Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Greenfield,
Said leavewas referred to the Select Committee on that sub-
ject, this day appointed, with authority to introduce a bill as
therein named.
The bill entitled an Act to confirm and approve an Act
passed at January session 1872, chapter 16, entitled an Act
to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Car-
roll county to subscribe to the capital stock of Turnpike Com-
panies in Carroll county,
Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
On motion of Mr. Cooper,
At 2 o'clock, P. M. the House adjourned.
