That so much of said message as relates to the Establish-
ment of a House of Correction, be referred to a Special Com-
mittee.

That so much of said message as relates to the Establish-
ment of a State Board of Health, be referred to a Special
Committee.

That so much of said message as i elates to the Formal In-
auguration of the Statue of the late Chief Justice Taney, be
referred to a Joint Special Committee on that subject.

That so much of said message as relates to the Maryland
Penitentiary, be referred to the Joint Special Committee on
that subject.

That so much of said message as relates to the Appoint-
ment of Boards of County School Commissioners, to the State
Normal School, St. John's College and to the proper repre-
sentation of the State in the Board of Trustees of the Mary-
land Agricultural College, be referred to the Committee on
Education,

That so much of said message as relates to the Colored Nor-
mal School and to an appropriation for the establishment and
support of Schools for Colored Children, and to the General
System of Public Instruction, be referred to the Committee on
Education.

That so much of said message as relates to the Reporting
and Preserving of Charters and to informalities in the Act of
1870, chapter 476, be referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

That so much of said message as relates to Homestead
Building Associations, be referred to the Committee on Cor-
porations.

That so numb of said message as relates to the Maryland
National Guard, to the necessity of supporting a few regi-
ments of well armed and skillfully trained soldiers, to the
Revision of the Militia Laws and to the recommendation con-
tained in the Adjutant-General's Report, be referred to the
Committee on Militia.

Which was adopted, and
On motion of Mr. Freaner,

Messrs. Freaner, Greenfield, Gordy, Maclin and Wack
were constituted a Committee to consider that part of the
Governor's message as relates to the establishment of a House
of Correction for Young Convicts and Petty Offenders.
