Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill providing for the borrowing of money on the
credit of Garrett county, for the purpose of erecting a court-
house and jail, and to authorize the issue of bonds by the
County Commissioners for the payment of the same, and to
levy taxes on the assessable property of said county to re-
deem said bonds and to pay the interest thereon.
On motion of Mr. Gordy,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester county delegation to
report a billfor the better protection of game in Dorchester
county.
On motion of Mr. Henkle,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill to provide for the defence of officers of
registration, judges of election, and other citizens of this
State, who are indicted in the United States Courts for al-
leged violation of the Act of Congress approved May 31st,
1870, entitled an Act to enforce the rights of citizens of the
United States to vote in the several States of this Union, and
for other purposes.
On motion of Mr. Turner, of Calvert,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Turner, Bird and Stake, to
report a bill relating to the compensation of jurors in Cal-
vert county.
On motion of Mr. Brace,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to repeal chapter 274, Acts of 1872, enti-
tled an Act to regulate the taxation of Coal Mining Compa-
nies in this State for State purposes.
On motion of Mr. Turner, of Calvert,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Turner, Bird and Stake, to
report a bill relating to the compensation of the Judges of
the Orphans' Court of Calvert county.
On motion of Mr. Gill,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Article 95, of
Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
