the line of the Frederick Turnpike Road, asking for an amend-
ment to the charter of the Baltimore City and Catonsville
Passenger Rail Road Company.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

Mr. Merryman presented the memorial of Wm. H. Under-
bill, of New York, asking for grant of bounty by tEe State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Seth presented the memorial of H. P. Hopkins and
nineteen other members of the Executive Committee of the
Temperance Committee of the Temperance Alliance of Talbot
county, asking the passage of a law empowering a majority
of the qualified voters to prohibit the sale of intoxicating
liquors within the limits of said county.

Which was read and referred to the Talbot county delega-
tion and Mr. Kemp.

Mr. Groh presented the petition of James Shelden for a
pension; war 1812.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Seth presented the petition of I. C. W. Powell, Sam-
uel Hambleton, and thirty-seven others, asking an appro-
priation to compensate Josiah Stock for making the arrest
of Levin Palmer, an escaped convict.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore and Talbot
county delegations.

Mr. Wier presented the memorial of Amos Davis and
other citizens of Allegany county, asking for the prohibiting
of hunting deer with dogs.

Which was read anil referred to the Allegany county dele-
gation.

Mr. Wier presented the petition of Rebecca Cresah, of Alle-
gany county, to refund taxes erroneously paid.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Nicodemus presented the petition of Barbara Stot-
tlemire, bf Frederick county, asking for a pension.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

Mr. Wier presented the memorial of J. Wier and other
citizens of Allegany county, to create an additional voting
district in said county.
