Mr. Seth moved that said leave be referred to a Select Com-
mittee to be appointed on that subject.

Decided in the negative.

On motion of Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, the leave
asked was then referred to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries.

On motion of Mr. Fenton,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 36, of Article
10 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Attach-
ments," and re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Nicodemus,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Farmers'
Manufacturing Company, of New Market.

On motion of Mr. Gill,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to extend the charter of
incorporation of the Baltimore and Philadelphia Steamboat
Company.

On motion of Mr. Bird,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Bird, Turner and Nutwell to
Introduce a bill to approve an Act passed at January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chapter 252, entiled an
Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Calvert county
to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum
Point Railroad Company, as provided by section 54, of Arti-
cle 3, of the Constitution.

On motion of Mr. Greenfield,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to establish the Maryland
House of Correction.

On motion of Mr. Turner, of Cecil,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to authorize the State Line and Juniata
Eailroad Company to contract and operate their railroad
within the limits of this State.

On motion of Mr. Keech,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a bill as a supplement to the Act to incorporate the
