Senate bill entitled ''An Act to authorize the transfer of
certain Land Records and Extracts from Deeds, from the
office of the Clerk of the Court of Appeals, to the office of the
Commissioner of the Land Office, to repeal section 40 of Art-
icle XVIII. of the Code of Public General Laws, and to re-
peal section 55 of the same Article, and to enact a substitute
therefor,"

a third reading.

to Article XL. of the Code of Public General Laws," entitled
"Fines and Forfeitures," to come in after section 3,

ably the Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend the Act of
1853, chapter 441," entitled "An Act to continue the corpo-
rate existence of the several Banking Institutions therein
mentioned, repealing the 5th and 9th sections thereof, and
re-enacting the said 5th and 9th sections as amended."

From the same Committee, reported unfavorably on the
Senate bill entitled "An Act to allow additional compensa-
tion to Charles E. Hayward and Sewell T. Melbourne, for
professional services in the case of the State vs. John R. Pla-
ter, and unto Charles E. Hayward and John W. Crisfield, in
the case of the State vs. Wm. H. McCotter."
