the Code of Public General Laws/' a sub-section entitled "In-
surance Brokers," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Reported favorably the Senate bill entitled "An Act
to amend the Act of the General Assembly of 1872, chapter
196," entitled "An Act to authorize the Comptroller of the
Treasury to adjust and settle the accounts due by Collectors,
Sheriffs, Clerks, Registers and other receivers of public moneys,
in cases where the indebtedness accrued prior to and includ-
ing the year 1869, by repealing section 1 of said Act, and
re-enacting the same with amendments."

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Reported unfavorably on the bill entitled "An Act to au-
thorize the County Commissioners of Frederick county to re-
view and correct the valuation of the lands in said county
assessed to John W. Dutrow,

And the report was adopted.

On motion by Mr. Blake,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of Senate bill
entitled "An Act to repeal section 806, of Article IV. of the
Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the city of Baltimore,
entitled 'Police,' and to re-enact in lieu thereof another sec-
tion, as section 806,"

Said bill being on third reading,
(By unanimous consent,)

Mr. Blake submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Line 9, strike out all after the word "Act," to the word
"there," in 12th line.

Line 13, insert "by ballot," after "Maryland."
Which were adopted.
Also, the following:

Line 23, strike out all after the word "qualified," to word
"each," in 31st line.

Which was adopted.
