CHAP. 71.
Bond required
|
the stjperintendance of said trustees, the survivors or sur-
vivor of them, and shall also execute and deliver his bond
to the state of Maryland for double the value of said real
and personal property, with sufficient security to be approv-
ed by said Treasurer, conditioned for the delivery of said
property to the persons who shall become entitled thereto,
conformably to the distribution which shall be made there-
of by chance or lot under the superintendance aforesaid.

Valuation directed
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That three commissioners
shall be appointed by the Treasurer to value said property
before it is disposed of, and that they make return of the
amount thereof to the aforesaid Treasuter, and that the
party petitioning shall pay the usual expenses allowed to
appraisers valuing the same, and that upon said appraise-
ment the tax of five per centum, as provided for in the first
section, shall be paid.

Limitation
|
Sec. 3. And be it farther enacted, That this act shall con-
tinue in force for one year and no longer.

Not to effect lotte
ries
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall
be construed to interfere with any contract for lotteries now
in existence nor with any law relating to such lotteries.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act relating to Parkin
street, in the city of Baltimore.
|

Partial repeal
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
so much of the act of December session of the year eigh-
teen hundred and sixteen, chapter two hundred and eigh-
teen, and the act of December session of the year eighteen
hundred and seventeen, chapter one hundred and forty-
eight, shall be deemed to be repealed, as to so much of Par-
kin street now not opened, as is to run from Columbia
street to Washington Avenue, in the city of Baltimore, and
that the same shall remain forever closed
