tioin to thfr amount of the stock, in the same and as ample
and full-manner as the stockholders of the said Turnpike
Company are or may be, in pursuance oi the act, to which

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act authorising a Lot-
tery to raise a sum of money far the finishing of Wash-
ington academy, in Somerset county, and for other pur-
poses, passed at November session, eighteen hundred and
two, chapter eighty seven.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Trustees of Washington Academy,
shall be, and they are hereby declared entitled to the bene-

fit of the original act to which this is a supplement.
Sec. 2. AND WHEREAS, a new mode of drawing lotte-
ries Has been introduced, and it may be doubtful whether
Washington Academy is authorised by the present acts of
Assembly to cause their lottery to be drawn according to
such neiy mode; Be it enacted, that the Trustees of Wash-
ington Academy, or any person or persons who have con-
tracted for, or purchased, or may hereafter contract for, or
purchase the right to the scheme of a lottery authorised to
be drawn for their benefit, shall be at liberty to form,
adopt, and draw a scheme of said lottery, in such mode
and upon such principle as shall or may be approved by
the Governor and Chancellor of the State of Maryland.
