RESOLUTIONS. 1833

tern Shore land office; AND WHEREAS, it is further repre-
sented that the said land has been fully compounded on,
and the certificate has never been patented; AND WHERE-
AS, the said Elizabeth Tusler sold the aforesaid tract of
land to a certain Peter Fpughney, and left the Stale of
Maryland before the patent could be issued for said land;
AND WHEREAS, the said Peter Faughney has sold said
land to a certain Alexander Shaffer, and is desirous that a
patent should issue to said Alexander Shaffer—Therefore,

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Register of the land office for the Western Shore be
and he is hereby authorised and required to issue a patent
to the aforesaid Alexander Shaffer, on the above named
certificate called Elizabeth Hill, containing sixty-eight and
one fourth acres of land; Provided nevertheless, that nothing
herein contained shall be taken or construed to affect any
right that may have been acquired by any other person or
persons, in or to said land, before the passage of this reso-
lution; Provided, that the Register of the land office is sa-
tisfied that the facts stated in the preamble are true.

Resolution in favor of William McNeir and Jeremiah ;
Hughes.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to William McNeir,
printer to the Senate, the sum of one hundred and fifty-
seven dollars, and to Jeremiah Hughes, printer to the House
of Delegates, the sum of twenty-nine hundred dollars and
thirty nine cents, the amount of their respective accounts.

Resolution in favor of Claude and Hammond.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore be and he is hereby
authorised and required to pay to Claude and Hammond,
or their order, the sum of two hundred and twenty four
dollars and nineteen cents, the amount due them for arti-
cles furnished by order of the committee on claims.
