RESOLUTIONS.

1833.

authorised to subscribe for two hundred and fifty bound
copies of the Journals of the Conventions of the province
of Maryland, held in the city of Annapolis, in the years
1774,1775 and 1776, to be published by Jonas Green,
and that they or a majority of them draw on the Treasurer
of the Western Shore for the amounts of said subsription
when the same shall have been delivered to and certified
by the Librarian: Provided, said subscription shall not ex-
ceed two dollars per bound ropy.

Resolution relative to the Arms belonging to the state.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all commanding officers of companies of local or volunteer
militia, who have drawn arms, accoutrements, &c. from the
state of Maryland, for purpose of training, or for any other
object, and when they are no longer wanted for that object
for which they were drawn, may and they are hereby authoris-
ed and required to collect the same, or cause them to be col-
lected and delivered to any of the several armorers of this
state which may be most conveniently situated to said com-
manding officers, or any of them, and the armorers or any of
them, who shall receive any arms, accoutrements, &c. as
above required, shall receipt to the oiiicrrs or any of them de-
livering the same, specifying to whom said arms, accoutre-
ments, &c. were distributed by the state, so that the same
may be credited on the bond, if any Lad been given for
the same, and the said armorers, or any of them shall report
to the adjutant general of this state all such arms so re-
ceived, and to whom the same have been receipted for
Resolved, That where any commanding officer of a regi-
ment or brigade of militia of this state may have drawn by
requisition or otherwise, any arms, accoutrements, &c from
the state for any object, and where said arms are no longer
required for said purpose, he is hereby authorised and re-
quired to cause the same to be collected and delivered over
to any of the armorers of this state which may be most
. conveniently situated to receive the same, and the armorers
or any of them to whom any such arms may be delivered,
shall receive and receipt Cor them as before required, and
report the same to the adjutant general.
