RESOLUTIONS. 1833.
Cambridge, in Dorchester county, to such point on Black
Water River, as may be most eligible for the accomplish-
ment of said work, and that the Engineer, be also instruct-
ed to report to the Executive, the survey of said canal, and
an estimate of the probable cost oi making the same.

Resolution in favor of L, Gassaway, chief clerk, of the
House of Delegates, and Joseph H. Nicholson, chief
clerk of the senate, relative to newspapers.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the Western shore, pay to Louis Gassa-
way, chief clerk of the house of delegates, and Joseph H.
Nicholson, chief clerk of the senate, out of any unappro-
priated money in the Treasury, the amount of the several
accounts that may from time to time be presented to him
by said clerks, for newspapers furnished by them for the
use of the members of their respective houses, in accord-
ance with an order adopted by said house for that pur-
pose.

Resolution directing Stoves to be put up in the offices of
the Court of Appeals and Court of Chancery.

|
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
John Johnston, Esq. clerk to the Court of Appeals, and
Ramsay Waters, Register to the Court of Chancery, be,
and they are hereby authorised to purchase and cause to
be put up, stoves for their respective rooms, and that the
treasurer of the Western shore, pay to their order such
sum as may be necessary to carry this resolution into ef-
fect, not exceeding fifty dollars each.
