1833. RESOLUTIONS.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be authorised and requested to employ the engi-
neer appointed on the part of the state, to co-operate with
Engineers appointed by the states' of Virginia and
Delaware, to undertake a survey of the coast from Cape
Charles, to Lewis Town Creek, on the Bay of Delaware;
to cause a survey to be made of the Pocomoke river, in
Worcester county, from the head of tide water to the line
of the state of Delaware, with a view to ascertain the prac-
ticability and probable cost of cutting a canal, and report
the same with an estimate of the cost thereof, to the next
legislature at the commencement of the next session.

Resolution relative to the survey of the route of a Canal,
from the town of Piscataway, to such point on Piscata -
way Creek, as mar be designated by R. C. Edelen, and
others.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor, be, and he is hereby authorised and empow-
ered to direct the Topograpical Engineer of the state who
may hereafter be appointed, to survey the route of a
canal from the town of Piscataway, in Prince George's
county, to s uch point on Pisoalawny creek, as may be de-
signated by R. C. Edelen, John B. Edelen, and B. J ,
Semmes, of Prince George's county, and that the Engi-
neer, be also instructed to report to the executive the sur-
vey of said canal, and an estimate of the probable cost of
making the same.
