An act to divorce Elizabeth Ringgold, of the city of Balti-
more from her husband Perry Ringgold.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Elizabeth Ringgold, of the city of Balti-
more, be and she is hereby divorced a mensa et thoro,
from her husbaiid Perry Ringgold.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Perry. Ring-
gold, by virtue of his marriage with the said Elizabeth
Ringgold, shall not be authorised to have or claim any
right, title or interest in the estate, real, personal or mixed,
of the said Elizabeth Ringgold, that shall be acquired by
her after the passage of this act, nor shall the said. Eliza-
beth Ringgold, be entitled in any manner, to have or
claim any right, title or interest in the estate, real, perso-
nal or mixed, of the said Perry Ringgold, that shall be ac-
quired by him after the passage of this act.

CHAPTER 265.
Aw act to provide for the cession of the territorial jurisdic-
tion of this state, over certain land on Piney Point, in St.
Mary's county, to the United States, for the erection of a
Light House thereon.

WHEREAS, it is believed that the convenience of the
citizens of this state, and others navigating the Potomac
river, would be greatly promoted, and their interest and
property better protected, by the erection of a light house
on Piney point, in St. Mary's county; Aim WHEREAS, ap-
plication has been made to the Congress of the United
States for an appropriation of money for that purpose,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in case the government of the United
States should hereafter authorise and provide for the erec-
tion of a light house on Piney point, in St. Mary's county,
Richard Thomas, George Combs, John H. Milburn, Wil-
liam Goad and Cornelius Combs be and they are hereby
appointed commissioners for the purposes of this act, and
they, or a majority of them, are hereby authorised, upon
