CHAP.263.

CHAPTER 262.

Paired Mar. 15,1834

An act supplementary to the act, passed at December session
eighteen hundied and thitty one, extending the powers of
executors of last wills and testaments, and for other pur-
poses.

Compensation for
selling estate

SECTION 1. Be it enacted bij the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That in all cases where an executor shall hereaf-
ter sell real estate of a testator or testatrix by viitue of last
will and testament, and shall account to the Orphans'
court of the county, in which letters testamentary were
granted, as is directed by the provisions of the act of which
this is a supplement, the said court may allow such execu-
tor or executrix, a commission on the proceeds of sales of
such real estate, not less than two per cent, nor more than
ten per cent.

Repeal

Sec. 2, And be it enacted, That all parts of the act of
which this is a supplement, that are inconsistent with this
act, be and they are hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER 263.

Passed Mar. 15.1834

An act for the payment of the, Journal of Accounts.

 

WHEREAS, it appears by the Journal of Accounts, of
this session, that there is due from this state, the sum of
forty thousand eight hundred and ninety one dollars and
eighteen cents current money; — Therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the treasurer of the Western shore, be, and he is
hereby authorised and requited to pay to the several per-
sons, their executors, administralors, assigns or orders, or
to such of them as shall apply to receive the same, the
several sums of money allowed to them respectively, as
they appear to be settled and ascertained by the said jour-
nal of accounts, out of any money now in the treasury, sub-
ject to appropriation by the general assembly.
