CHAPTER 230.

Passed Mar. 14, 1834
|
A supplement to an act entitled, an act to divorce Julianna
Donaldson from her husband William B. Donaldson,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-
two, chapter twenty-one.

Divorce
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the marriage heretofore solemnized be-
tween the said Julianna Donaldson and the said William
B . Donaldson, be and the same is hereby declared utterly
null and void, and the said Julianna and William be and
they are hereby declared to be divorced a vinculo matri-
monii.

Guardianship, &c
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tained shall be construed to deprive the said Julianna
Donaldson of the power and authority conferred on her by
the act to which this is a supplement, as guardian of her
children by the said William B. Donaldson, or in any man-
ner whatsover to effect the legitimacy of said children.

An ad for the benefit of Eleanor Burley, of Anne Arundel
county.

May remain in the
state
|
Be it enacted by the General Assmbly of Maryland,
That Eleanor Burley, daughter of Thomas Burley, of Anne
Arundel county, when she shall have been duly manumit-
ted by Brice J. Worthington, esquire, shall be and she is
hereby authorised to remain within the limits of this state,
any provision in the act of December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty-one, entitled, an act relating to the peo-
ple of colour in this state, to the contrary notwithstanding.
