An act for building a Bridge over McIntosh Run, in St.
Mary's county.
|

|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland , That
the justices of the levy court, of St. Mary's county, shall
and may at any time, within two years from the passage
of this act, levy upon the taxible property in said county, a
sum of money not exceeding one hundred dollars, for the
purpose of building a bridge over a stream commonly call-
ed McIntosh Run, in said county, where the road leading
from Leonard town, to the three notched road, crosses
said stream.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the justices aforesaid,
shall as soon as conveniently may be, causa a bridge to
be erected over the said stream at the place aforesaid, in
such manner as the said justices shall think most advan-
tageous to the public, and the sum of money so as afore-
said, to be levied or so much thereof as may be necessary
for that purpose, shall he applied to the payment of the
expense of erecting said bridge.

An act for the benefit of Bernard Gilpin, of Montgomery
county.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the clerk of Montgomery county court, be, und he is here-
by authorised and required to record among the records
of said county; the following indentures of apprenticeship,
to wit: an indenture binding a coloured bo William, for
the term of ten years, to Bernard Gilpin, of Montgomery
county, and dated the sixth day of January, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty; an indenture binding Charles Grandison,
a coloured boy, for the term of eleven years, to Bernard
Gilpin, and dated the twenty second day of December,
eighteen hundred and twenty eight; an indenture binding
Tom Budd, a coloured boy, for the term of eighteen years,
to Bernard Gilpin, and dated the twenty second day of
December, eighteen hundred and twenty eight; and an in-
denture binding Richard, a colured boy, for the term of
