CHAP. 206.
Oath
|
Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
or a majority of them, before they proceed to act, shall take
an oath or affirmation, before some justice of the peace,
that they will without favour, partiality or prejudice, assess
the damages sustained by the persons through whose
lands said road may pass.

Repeal
|
Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts, inconsistent with, or contrary to the provisions of this
act, be, and the same are hereby repealed, so far as the
same may conflict with the provisions of this act.

An act supplementary to an act, entitled, an act to incorpo-
rate the town of Boonsborough, Slifers Addition, Hatter's
Addition, and Allabough's Addition, to Boonsborough,
in Washington county , passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and thirty one, chapter one hundred and
thirty nine.

Preamble— swine
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to this general assembly of
Maryland, by the petition of the Burgess and commission-
ers of the town of Boonsborough, and the additions there-
to, that doubts are entertained by the said Burgess and
commissioners, as to the extent of power conferred on
them by their act of incorporation, in' relation to the tak-
ing up and impounding of swine found running at large
within the said town and its additions, and owned by per-
sons who reside without the limits of the said town and its
additions; — Therefore,

Authority granted
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Burgess and commissioners of the town of Boons-
borough, and the additions thereto, be and they are here-
by authorised to take up and impound all such swine, as
may be running at large within the said town and the ad-
ditions thereto, under such regulations as the said Burgess
and commissioners may ordain, whether such swine be-
long to the citizens of the said town and its additions, or
to persons who reside without the limits of the corpora-
tion.
