CHAPTER 203.

CHAP. 204.

A further Supplement to the act, entitled, an act for the pre-
servation of the breed oj Wild Deer, and far other pur-
poses therein mentioned.

Passed Mar.12, 1834

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That from and after the passage of this act, in
addition to the provisions of the aforesaid act to which this
is a further supplement, it shall be lawful for proceedings
to be had in Allegany county, in the name of the State of
Maryland in pursuance of this act and the act to which this
is a further supplement, before any justice of the peace
against any and every person, against whom complaint may
be made, and prooi of the fact of him or them, in person
or by agent, being engaged in killing or trying to kill or
destroy by catching or running; with dogs or otherwise any
Wild Deer, out of the season as is prescribed in and by
the act to which this is a further supplement, and the said
justice may and shall determine on the matter and proceed
for the recovery of the sum as adjudged against the defen-
dant or defendants, as in cases of small debts within the ju-

risdiction of a justice of the peace, one half of said fine
to the informer, and the other to the. commissioners of Al-
legany county, to be added to the Free school fund, and
distributed among the several election districts, at the dis-
cretion of said commissioners, in said county.

Disposition of pro-
ceeds

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall not be so
construed as to justify any person or persons in shooting,
crippling or killing any dogs found in pursuit of deer, and
any owner or owners of said clogs that may be injured or
killed may have their remedy at law as before the passage
of this act.

An act for building a Bridge over Broad Creek, at or near
Cox's Mill, in Harford county.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That David G. McCoy, John McFadin and
John Galbreth, be, and they are hereby appointed com-
