CHAP. 160.
Bond required

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That before the President and
Directors of the Choptank Steam Boat Navigation Com-
pany of Maryland, shall proceed to alter, change, rebuild,
reconstruct, widen or improve the draw and wings of the
bridge, over Great Choptank river, at or near Dover Ferry,
they shall execute and deliver a good and sufficient bond in
the penalty of ten thousand dollars, to the President and
Directors of the Choptank Bridge Company, with such se-
curity as they may approve, conditioned for payment of all
damages which they may sustain by reason of said altera-
tion and change or making a new draw, or by the delay in
making said alteration or change, or making the said draw or
in any other way connected with said alteration or change,

or making the said draw; Provided nevertheless, that in case
of disagreement between the President and Directors of
the Choptank Bridge Company, and the President and Di-
rectors of the Choptank Steam Boat Navigation Company
of Maryland, as to the sufficiency of the security aforesaid,
offered or proposed by the President and Directors of the
Choptank Steam Boat Navigation Company of Maryland,
the same shall be referred to the Judges of Talbot county
court, in their judicial capacity, or any one of the Judges
during vacation, who are hereby required to judge of and
approve or reject the same.

through a part of Frederick, Baltimore, and Anne Arun-
del counties.

SECTION 1. Be tt enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George W. Poole, of Frederick county,
W. Burdit, of Baltimore county, and Lewis A, Shaffer, of
Anne Arunde'I county, be and they are hereby appointed
commissioners to survey, lay out and open a road not ex-

ceeding forty feet in width, in the best and sfraightest di-
rection taking all circumstances into consideration to start
from William H. Pools Mills on the public road leading
from, Unionville to Ridgeville, in Frederick County, to the
planeville depot, on the Baltimore and Ohio rail road, in
Baltimore County and thence to intersect the Frederick
and Baltimore turnpike road near Wann's Tavern in Anne
