1833.

East Eager and Forrest streets, and running thence south-
erly on the west side of Forrest street, thirty three feet,
three inches more or less to Henry Ewing's land, thence
westerly on said Ewing's land, and along the south line of
a formerly contemplated street, called Parnassus street,
one hundred and forty feet, to the east side of a formerly
contemplated street, called Duncan street, thence north
fifty four feet to the south side side of east Eager street
aforesaid, and thence east on the said side of east Eager
street, one hundred and thirty feet to the place of begin-
ning.

CHAPTER 91.

 

An act to make valid the deed therein mentioned.

Passed Mar. 4, 1834

WHEREAS, on the part of the heirs of John St. Clair, of
Harford County, it hath been represented to this General
Assembly, that Stephen Slade, and Jane, his wife, by in-
denture, dated the ninth day of January, in the year eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-three, and recorded duly in the
Land Records, of Harford county, in Liber H. D. No. 15,
folio three hundred and twenty-seven, &c. conveyed
to said St. Clair, certain lands in said deed described;
AND WHEREAS, said conveyance was acknowledged be-
fore two justices of the peace, who have certified the fact
of acknowledgment, but have omitted to certify their being
satisfied as to the identity as grantors or bargainers of the
persons so acknowledging; — Therefore,

Preamble

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
said indenture or conveyance, be, and the same is hereby
declared as valid and effectual to all intents and purpo-
ses, as if the said justices had in their said certificate ac-
cording to the act of assembly, in such case made and pro-
vided, set forth their being satisfied of their own knowledge
that the persons acknowledging as aforesaid, are the per-
sons named and described in said indenture or convey-
ance, as, and therein professing to be, the grantors or bar-
gainors, in and by said indenture or conveyance.
