CHAPTER 323.

AN ACT to refund to Clinton Smith a sum of money erro-

neously paid by him into the Treasury.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|

land, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he is hereby
|
moneys erro-
neously paid.

|
authorized and directed to draw his warrant upon the State

|
|
Treasurer in favor of the said Clinton Smith for the sum of
|
 
|
|
ten dollars and thirty-two cents, being amount of moneys erro-
|
 
|
|
neously paid by him into the State Treasury, the same having
|
 
|
|
received the recommendation of the Treasury officials.
|
 
|
|

CHAPTER 325.
|
 
|
|
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 33 of the Code of
|
 
|
|
Public General Laws, title "Election," sub-title Judges and
|
 
|
|
Clerks of Election," to follow Section 90, and to be known
|
 
|
|
as Section 9E.
|
 
|
|
SECTION i. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
|
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
|

Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Election,"
|
clerks of
election.

9D, and to read as follows :

9E. The judges and clerks appointed by the Board of Su-

pervisors of Elections of Washington County shall not be re-

examination, nor to be sworn in as required by Section 9

tion, and shall appoint only such persons as are known to them
|
 
|
|
to possess the proper qualifications for the positions to which
|
 
|
|
they are severally appointed; and the said persons may be
|
 
|
|
sworn in either by said Board or by a justice of the peace or
|
 
|
|
notary public of said county, and when sworn in by a justice
|
