however, that this Act shall not apply to sellers of bread, cakes

or crackers; and provided further, that nothing in this section

shall apply to hawkers or peddlers of oysters and fish in their
|
 
|
|
unpreserved and natural condition, or of fruits, vegetables and
|
 
|
|
fresh meats perishable in their nature, that are sold in their
|
 
|
|
natural condition in this State.

|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
|
 
|
|
from the date of its passage.

|
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 30
|
 
|
|
of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Car-
|
 
|
|
oline County." sub-title ''Federalsburg," as amended by
|
 
|
|
Chapter 149 of the Acts of 1902.
|
 
|
|
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
|
 
|
|
land, That Section 30 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
|
Federalsburg,
Caroline
|
|
Laws, title "Caroline County," sub-title "Federalsburg," as
|
County, Md.
|
|
amended by Chapter 149 of the Acts of 1902, be and the same is
|
 
|
|
hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
|
 
|
|
30. The said Commissioners shall have power to provide in
|
 
|
|
any of their by-laws and ordinances for a fine or penalty in
|

son for the violation thereof, and the said fines or penalties may

|
be recovered in the name of the said corporation from the per-
|
 
|
|
son liable thereto before any justice of the peace for Caroline
|
 
|
|
County like other debts, but if any person shall violate any of
|
 
|
|
the ordinances or by-laws of said Commissioners by loud or
|
 
|
|
boisterous talking or by using profane or vulgar language
|
 
|
|
or by immodest or vulgar behavior or exposure or by other-
|
 
|
|
wise disturbing the peace and good order in said town of
|
 
|
|
Federalsburg, or by obstructing the streets or sidewalks with
|
 
|
|
unnecessary assemblies, then it shall be lawful and it is made
|
 
|
|
the duty of the bailiff of the said town or the sheriff or any con-
|
 
|
|
stable of Caroline County to arrest the person so offending
|
 
|
|
or violating the ordinances as aforesaid and to take such
|
 
|
|
person before some justice of the peace of said county ; and
|
 
|
|
upon conviction for said offense the said offender shall be fined
|
 
|
|
not less than fifty cents nor more than ten dollars, with costs,
|
 
|
|
the fine to go to the use of said corporation, and in default of
|
 
|
|
payment of fine and costs aforesaid the person so convicted
